Social Network for Online Buyers and Sellers

Processing Returns, we all have them at some time or another. Please share your return policy and how you process your returns. If a customer is not satisfied with your return, how do you handle the situation? We all know that most small sellers do not have the same monetary flow as large companies. Therefore, for small sellers, we would like to know different return policies and the Pro's and Con's of having these policies. Thank you for your input.

Returns accepted within 7 days of delivery confirmation for Merchandise Credit only. Must be received as sent and have all original packaging. If items are on back order or out of stock when ordered a full refund will be returned to buyer by way of payment received.
I also do exchanges.
Do you do refunds? or Merchandise Credit? or Exchanges?

The way that I have always processed my own personal inventory is ~when I mail it out I put my own sticker label in my own handwriting on the item so I had better receive it back in the same condition that it was mailed out. I need to be notified within 3 days from when it was received of any damage and returned within 7 days. If no insurance was paid then I do not refund. I try to the very best of my knowledge to describe every piece that I sell of my own stuff and take pictures if I can of any chips or damage. My gift line are all new items, SMC is great about accepting returns with no problems. If you have any questions ask away!!!

Permalink Reply by Judy Lujan on March 18, 2011 at 7:04pm One of the biggest problems that I have in running multiple site, is that I take items out and blam they are back in a few weeks. I think what happens is that the site owners back-up all the ads and pictures then a certain times they clean up the sites and run their back which will put my sold items back. This causes me a big problem if someone buys a item that I don't have. So now I am put SOLD OUT in the title and across the picture hoping that is will help. Some times I get do discouraged and want to throw up my hand and forget the whole darn thing and just work on my genealogy. LOL
