I believe that you are automatically assigned an Associate ID when you sign up for Zazzle. You can use that ID to create links (text and/or photol) to products that other people have designed. And then, when people click through and buy via your links, you automatically get 15% of the sale - even if what they bought wasn't the exact product you linked to.
I know this works, because I have done a little promoting of other people's products, and gotten referral fees from them. I mainly concentrate on my own products, though. And quite a few of the sales of my own products came through as referrals, so someone else got 15% on each of them. The biggest referral sale of my products was over $800.00, so someone made $120.00+ on that one alone. Most of them are not nearly that big, but all those little ones do add up.
Hdere's the link to the page on Zazzle that explains the Associates Program: Assiociates page
-You can use the links anywhere -facebook, twitter, your blog, squidoo lenses, articles, just about anywhere. Here's an example of one of my Squidoo lenses that uses some of the Zazzle photo links: Lens about Cruise Cabins - About halfway down, you'll see my swirling seas mousepad, and then three more items a bit farther down, and then three more after that. You could generate similar photo links, and they would have your ID embedded in them. Then any cklick-throughs resulting in any sales would get you 15%
Links are EASY to make. Just sign in, find a product you want to promote, and look under the photo on the left. There, you see: :Share This" and under that "email and LINK" Hit link and Zazzle makes three kinds of links for you with your ID already embedded. Just copy the one you want, and paste it into where you want it.
Have a look at the associates page, and my example, and then let me know if you have more questions. I'm happy to answer them, and would be happy to have you make referrals on my products. Yes, I make a little less on a referred sale than on one that was not referred, but the way I figure it is, without the referral link that someone put out there, I probably wouldn't have made that sale at all, so I am happy to share!
Permalink Reply by Sheila H on March 17, 2011 at 11:51am I am not sure how you would do that- or even if you can do that. As far as I know your store is for YOUR products, not other people's products.
If there is a way to do it, some of the really advanced users on the Zazzle Fourum might know. Maybe through an API, but I think APIs are for your own outside store (not on zazzle) However, I am not sure, as I have not studied about APIs at all.
